- Traditional Coding vs. Vibe Coding: time, cost, and quality comparisons
- The "Four Ps": Prompting, Planning, Prototyping, Patience
- The Five-Skill Framework: Think → Framework → Checkpoints → Debug → Context
- Real-world example: Improving delivery time in a startup or enterprise project
Hands-on (15 min): Write down a task you've done manually in code. Use an AI coding assistant to recreate or refactor it. Discuss outcomes.
Module 2: Prompt Engineering & AI Coding Tools
- Elements of a good code prompt: clarity, intent, constraints
- Iterative prompting: refining AI-generated code
- Managing context in long sessions (memory, scope, token limits)
- Tool overview: Replit, GitHub Copilot, Cursor
- Workflow integration: when to prompt vs. when to write code manually
Hands-on (15 min): Use GitHub Copilot or Replit to generate a responsive form (e.g., contact or login). Refine it by improving the prompt.
Module 3: Planning & Designing AI-Assisted Projects
- How to write a Product Requirement Document (PRD)
- Defining MVPs and must-have features
- Collaborating with AI for early UI/UX design
- Using prompts to help scope features and generate pseudo-code
- Case study: Planning a "Feedback App" for internal HR use
Hands-on (15 min): Create a one-paragraph PRD for a simple business tool (e.g., meeting scheduler). Use AI to expand it into wireframe ideas or feature specs.
Module 4: Building with AI – Applied Coding
- Best practices for building with AI agents
- Creating reusable components and clean structure
- Building in checkpoints and validating output
- Example build: Voting app with persistent data (or Website Performance Checker)
- Common mistakes when co-developing with AI
Hands-on (15 min): Use Replit + AI to start your own project based on your Module 3 plan. Generate key components (e.g., front end UI + form logic).
Module 5: Debugging, Optimization & Deployment
- Using AI to identify and fix bugs
- Performance tuning: speed, readability, scalability
- Organizing a project for team collaboration
- GitHub basics: version control, commits, and branches
- Deployment via Replit or other cloud tools
- Real-world case: Delivering a client-facing MVP in 48 hours
Hands-on (15 min): Take your Module 4 code and use an AI tool to debug or improve it. Then deploy it via Replit and share the link with peers.
